Shamanic Plant Ceremony with Fireweed

with Jan Kinsey

Join us in ceremony with Fireweed. We will work with a vibrational essence and tincture from the plant, do guided shamanic journeys, and sing and tone with the plant spirit.
The focus of these plant ceremonies is to
– experience a healing from the plant spirit
– develop a working relationship with the plant
– be introduced to the plant’s wisdom
– learn how its medicine pertains to you and your community.
Years ago, in an ayahuasca ceremony, the Oak tree showed up Jan, and stated that he wanted a ceremony. We did a ceremony for Oak in 2021. Every year since then, a new plant has stepped forward to have a ceremony. In 2025, it is Fireweed’s turn.
Fireweed is the first one to appear after a forest fire, when a forest has been clear cut, after a volcanic eruption and other disturbances.

The Haida people of the Pacific Northwest believe that fireweed is a symbol of resurrection and rebirth. The plant’s quick regrowth after fires is seen as a reminder that new life can emerge from destruction.

In the Tlingit tribe of Alaska, fireweed is believed to represent the transformation of negative energy into positive energy. The plant’s ability to thrive in areas affected by forest fires is seen as a metaphor for the human capacity to overcome adversity and emerge stronger.

… and from flower essence descriptions, we have:

“Fireweed flower essence assists the restoration of one’s self after a devastating loss.”
