Sound, Space & Shamanic Journey: A Cacao Ceremony for unleashing the power of your voice
Flower Power Sacred Sound Ceremony with Cacao

In this workshop, the intention is to set up a sacred safe and playful container to guide you through an experiential cacao ceremony connecting to sound, nature, the medicine wheel, and shamanic journeying.
Cacao is a plant medicine of Mayan ancestry, this medicine works with the frequency of the heart. We will honor the spirit of Cacao through song & ceremony and ask that she guide us to sing and move from a heart centered place.
We will call in sacred space by drawing from the protection of the elements in alignment with the Earthkeepers Medicine Wheel used by indigenous medicine elders.
We will commune with the plant spirit of cacao to help us sing from the heart.
Through playful expression and vocal releases we can utilize nature & our own inner voice as a way to connect to our primal animal instincts, awareness of emotions, release of old patterns of conditioning and embrace great spirit as it moves through us.
Our journey together will end with the shamanic beat of the drum to enter into transpersonal realms to meet our power plant & receive any messages from spirit and/or our higher selves & guides.
Through the use of repeated rhythms of the rattle and drum, we will journey to the lower realm where guidance awaits
Scientific studies have shown that the steady drum beat puts one in a trance state, tapping into our theta brain wave consciousness where deep meditation is acessed. In this state, we can receive messages and healing insights from our higher guides, who have much to tell and show us.
Bring a question for your guides, a notebook to journal after your journey, and a blanket or coat to keep you warm.
This will be a safe and sacred space for us to tap into our divine playful energy and get into the ritual art of shamanic journeying.

Christina GomesFor the last year, I have been communing with the spirit of Cacao and Tobacco within the indigenous lands of the Mayan community in Guatemala, learning from the elders, and learning from personal practice with these sacred plant medicines. I have been holding therapeutic space as a psychotherapist for 10 years, and as I unfold deeper into my own spiritual essence, I come closer and closer to nature and its medicinal and spiritual guidance. Working with the circle as medicine and these plant teachers as facilitators for transformational experiences. As a vocalist, singer/songwriter & sound healer, I particularly work with the healing quality of the human voice. These plant medicines clear away blocks that prevent us from accessing our divine birthright as singers. It is my personal mission to see the whole world living in their truth & singing it out loud.
Sage Aurora ~ I have personally worked with and interviewed the woman Cecilia who runs the all women Mayan’s cooperative in Guatemala that the Cacao comes from. I connect with the cacao spirit in ceremony both in personal use, with beloved friends and family, as well as holding public ceremonies for the community and at festivals. I spent 5 months last year in Guatemala working with Keith the Cacao Shaman, Cecilia who runs the all Womens Mayan Collective, as well as various other Mayans and Mystics who hold cacao ceremonies. I am also a tea fairy and listen to what plants and flowers and herbs want to play together in teas and infusions. I have a deep relationship with both rose and damiana, they connect me to the feminine, the essence of love, and of sensuality.
